The Spiral
The conclusion to the early parts of the Ghost Gear series and my undergraduate thesis at MECA is marked by The Spiral. It is a 14’ tall screen printed sheet of sanded mylar suspended spirally from a cylindrical wooden light fixture. The installation was accompanied by a soundscape made with ambient sounds captured throughout the processes involved in making the piece itself. The artwork is a confluence of several years of undergraduate thought and practice revolving around printmaking processes, color theory, psychedelia, and visionary and immersive art.
